How后接形容词和副词的疑问词有哪些

How 后接形容词或副词引出特殊疑问句，是英语中一个很常用的表达，上面黎老师已给出一些很典型的例子，其实能这样用的形容词和副词很多，下面再补充一些例子（这仍只是其中的一小部分）：

How badly

How badly was he hurt? 他伤得怎么样?

How broad

How broad is the river? 这条河有多宽？

How cold is it? 冷到什么程度?

▲但值得注意的，这样用的 how 通常与表示较高程度的形容词连用，一般不与较之于较低程度的形容词，如通常说 how old, 一般不说 how young；通常说 how long，一般不说 how short。但如果需要对较低的程度予以特别关注，也可将 How 与较低程度的形容词连用，如：

A：I think he’s too young for the job. 我想他干那工作大年轻。

B：How young ishe then? 那么他有多年轻呢?

A：We need a short article to fill the paper. 我们需要一篇短文填补报纸上的空白。

B：How short must it be? 它必须多短呢?
